Welcome to a dynamic, online communication and collaboration tool for Chesapeake Academy's constituent groups--students, parents, teachers, alumni, and board members.

This Community Network complements and extends the Chesapeake Academy learning experience for each student. The CA Community Network facilitates 21st century skills development in our students by providing a secure portal for collaborative academic work such as electronic document sharing, multimedia projects, wikispaces, blogs, and more. Students use the CA Community Network to share information with teachers and peers and to create individual talent portfolios which follow them throughout their Chesapeake Academy careers.

Parents can use the community network to receive information about class events, homework, curriculum, areas of interest, and special events. Alumni and board members can also get up to the minute information about activities at Chesapeake Academy. However, the CA Community Network is much more than a bulletin board; it is a collaborative space where members can share articles, media, and ideas that make our school community a richer place for students, teachers, parents, and friends of the school.

Over the coming year, this site will continue to be developed to meet the needs of students, parents, faculty and staff.

We are pleased to launch the CA Community Network with homework blogs for PreKindergarten - Grade 8.
